The COMP CamsA? Cam Phaser Lockout Kit eliminates variable valve timing (VVT) to make the installation of larger cams possible for horsepower increases. The phaser lockout prevents VVT from moving the camshaft installed centerline while increasing the piston-to-valve clearance for the introduction of a larger camshaft. An installation tool is included for easier installment as well as the special socket necessary to remove the factory camshaft phaser retaining bolt.
The 7.3L Godzilla Cam Phaser Lockout Kit #5474 prevents the VVT phaser from moving the cam installed centerline and provides more piston-to-valve clearance for large cams. Installation tool included for easier installment.
